Maruti has been leading the Indian market for small-size affordable cars. The company has recently removed select Variants of its small-size SUV S-Presso. Which makes the starting price of S-Presso ₹ 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The excluded variants of this Maruti are Std, LXi, LXi CNG, VXi, VXi AMT, and VXi CNG.
With this change now S-Presso trim has no standard variants whereas the optional and plus variants have been retained. The AMT versions come at a starting range of ₹ 5.19 lakh while the prices for CNG start at ₹ 5.38 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the Future Concept S, The Maruti S-Presso first appeared at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2018. The car is sold by the Arena outlet of Maruti Suzuki. The S-Presso comes with steering-mounted audio and voice controls, with an advanced Smartplay Studio system for music, entertainment and navigation. It also features a user-friendly and vibrant graphic user interface with connected car features such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and other Smartplay Studio Apps.
The S-Presso gets power from the 1.0-litre K10 engine from the Alto and is equipped with both Manual and AGS (Auto Gear Shift) options. Which delivers over 67 HP, 90 Nm of peak torque and fuel efficiency of 21.4 kmpl. Talking about the design, the front of the car is equipped with a single aperture headlamp, and grille graphic, along with wide C-signature tail lamps. The modern body and chassis are based on the acclaimed 5th generation HEARTECT platform which uses 40% high tensile steel to ensure a stronger, safer and sturdier structure.
Safety features of S-Presso include frontal offset crash, side impact and pedestrian safety. And additional features such as dual airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock-Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), seat belts with pre-tensioners and force Limiters, driver/co-driver seat belt reminder, rear parking assist system, high-speed warning alert and reverse parking sensors also can be found in this micro-SUV. The colour options of S-Presso are Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver.
